The Edo production centre, is an initiative of Governor Godwin Obaseki
through Edojobs to create an enabling environment for small scale production
and industrialisation in Edo state. The facility is located at the magistrate court
compound, sapele road benin city.
The Edo production centre is a multi purpose production centre established to
support small and medium scale businesses in the state to thrive by reducing the
cost of production, in order to make huge profits.

THE STAKEHOLDERS FORUM

The stakeholders forum held on Monday 7th january, 2019 at the Edo
production centre with over 200 small scale industrialists and groups of artisans
in attendance.
With the guarantee of unparalleled business support opportunities and shared
conducive working space, over 200 Micro Small and Medium Enterprises have
expressed interest to site their businesses at the Edo production centre, a multi
purpose production cluster.
Present at the stakeholders forum, Commissioner for Physical Planning and
Urban Development, Hon. Edorodion Oye Erimona, Senior Special Assistant
(SSA) to the Governor on Skills Development and Job Creation, Mrs. Ukinebo
Dare, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Investment, Mr.
Kelvin Uwaibi and Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Special
Duties, Mr. Mandela Obaseki.
Hon, Edorodion Oye Erimona highlighted the Edo production centre as a
one-stop-shop for MSMEs to enjoy economies of scale and low cost of
production.
Mrs. ukinebo dare noted that major renovation work has been done which was
the reason for the meeting with the stakeholders to keep them abreast with the
progress made on the project so they can key into it.

According to her,
A month ago, the governor came to inspect the facility,
which will be used as a multi purpose production centre. We have
commenced renovation of the facility, we have done the electrical work and
we are working to make this place habitable. The idea is to make sure that
by the time the project is completed, it will be used by everyone in the
target group.”
